Trip Planning - Your Arrival in Rome
Getting Cash for your arrival
You will need to get cash for your check-in, you should go directly to the the Travelex desk before you leave the airport as ATM machines will only give you a limited amount of cash and will hold up your check in process.
Getting to your accommodation
Private Transfers: If you have decided to book our private airport transfer then you will see your driver with your name on a card as you leave the baggage area and enter the arrivals hall.
Train: The Train from Fiumicino to Trastevere and Termini stations is well posted with signs throughout the airport and the cost is Euro 11 per person one way.

Taxi: The taxis have recently been regulated and have to charge a flat fee of Euro 40 to the city walls from either airport, from that point on the meter goes on so the end cost can reach around Euro 55 depending on the traffic situation.
Bus: From Ciampino airport there is a bus that can take you directly to Termini Station – or – you can take the public bus to the Metro which will then take you to Termini Station.
Car: If you are arriving by car you can drive into the historic centre only after 6pm without getting a fine. If you are arriving after 6pm then you should drive to your apartment and unload the car, it will be unlikely that you will be able to park your car close to your apartment without getting a ticket, a wheel block or towed away. The historic centre is very much restricted
