Rome Apartment Suite Gianicolo Nov-09 USA Young Couple AJ & SH Great location! Only a 10-minute walk to the Vatican and 15-minutes to the Coliseum and Spanish Steps. The Trastevere neighborhoof has great restaurants and atmosphere and loved the location near the River Tiber. The apartment was very clean and we felt very safe. Everything is small compared to the US but we didn't spend much time inside anyway. The bed was a little hard but the apartment was cozy and nice place to come home to each night. Would definitely stay here again. AJ&SH

Apartment Fontana di Trevi Grande Nov-09 UK Mixed Group Kimberly P. There was a group of eight of us who stayed in this Apartment. The owner was very pleasant and even bought us a bottle of Champagne for our Thanksgiving celebration! The location couldn't have been better...One block to the metro and three blocks to the Trevi Fountain. I definitely recommend this property to any group of people looking for a relaxing place to stay.

The location was great; we would highly recommend Trastevere, and the street itself is quaint and convenient. Rosie welcomed us and explained everything. There was even a freshly baked cake and fresh fruit waiting for us on our arrival! We had one problem (construction on the ground level starting very early one morning) - none of which was the owner's fault - and Carla took care of it immediately by contacting the boss and ensuring work would begin later in the morning. Carla checked in again with us several times to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. The combination of a nicely re-done apartment, great location and conscientious service is hard to beat. Understandably, I was nervous at first (travelling alone), but Rosie was waiting for my call from Termini, and met me at the apartment as soon as I arrived. She was very gracious and took the time to walk me through the penthouse, explaining everything from the intercom to the plumbing, to programming the television. (and very kindly in perfect english!) She even had a map and corkscrew waiting! The apartment was comfortably furnished, with a washing machine, fully equipped kitchen and small balcony. It looked exactly like the photos on your website! In the evenings I felt safe walking home, as the building was literally around the corner from the Pantheon and surrounded by restaurants and bars. I was also relieved to discover an internet cafe just one block away. Miraculously, and without an alarm clock, I woke every morning to the muffled sounds of sea gulls, and trattorias opening below. The sun light poured in through the sky lights, warming my face and the intricate wood floors beneath my feet... in November! I was pleasantly surprised to discover the Jazz channel at 3am, the perfect 'post-jet lag, late night soak in the jacuzzi background music'. There were even candles in every room. It was the perfect place for being lazy after days of endlessly walking about Rome.

It has a great terrace, and was very comfortable for two families traveling together. The location is excellent. It is very quiet and secure and yet only a short walk to the metro and the Piazza del Popolo. The #19 tram on Flaminia goes in one direction to the Vatican, and in the other direction to the Borghese Gardens/zoo, which was very convenient. The wi-fi in the apartment was finicky, but we received prompt service to establish connection with our laptop, which was very helpful. Also, we brought a week's worth of kitchen items-- dishwasher tablets, laundry soap, kitchen wipes, salt-and-pepper, napkins ... so we did not have to stock up much on supplies.

I'm a frugal traveler but I didn't want to be hauling my bags to piazza Navona from the train station. This was door to door service. Everything was in working order. The wireless internet was an unexpected plus, although it didn't reach as far as the master bedroom. Due to an injury my husband had to come in a wheelchair. He was able to stand for a short time so we took the wheelchair into the elevator folded up. That was the only way it fit. All the sights were within walking distance. I'm 67 years old and not in the greatest shape, but I was able to walk to the Vatican, about 25 minutes walk for me. There are several banks in the area with ATMs, so getting money was convenient. Apartment needs internet connection and more pots/pans. Limited HOT WATER at apartment. Arrive early and ask to stop by somewhere to buy groceries as limited stores are in the area. Arranged transportation to/from with company, was very understanding when airlines kept delaying arrival flight. Would use company in the future to arrange transportation/apartment, however would choose a different place to stay with better ammenties. Apartment was sufficient and sutied our needs.

Rome Apartment Monserrato Sep-09 Australia Older Couple Julia C. We loved this apartment - the location is great - what a joy to walk out the door each morning! It was a perfect size for my husband and I. We're in our early 40s so the two flights of stairs were no problem. Loved the little bottle shop next door! Always a cold Peroni when you need it. On our arrival we were told there was a problem with the shower - the previous guest had smashed the shower screen. I got a call from Rosa the owner full of apologies and by the time we got back from our walk she had set up a temporary show curtain and left us a bottle of sparking wine and a lovely note. We really appreciated her prompt attention and that slight setback in no way affected our enjoyment of the apartment. There was an air con unit which we used as it was very hot and there was plenty of space to stretch out. Our only suggestion would be a different couch - maybe a single seater and a two seater? there is room for another couch so that would make it even more comfortable. Regarding the airport transfers, we can't fault them. The cars were clean and new, and the drivers courteous and prompt - our return trip was at 4.45am - way too early for us but the driver was right on time, even at that hour. Rome is a magical place and Campo di Fiori is a fantastic place to base yourself, and this apartment is great for two people. We would definately stay there again.

The location was within walking distance to all major areas of interest. The last flight of stairs are very steep when carrying suitcases up...but we are in our mid to late 50's and managed it. We thought the work was worth the effort upon arrival. We would highly recommend Apartment Balestrari Terrace. The terrace was a wonderful place to relax with a glass/bottle of vino after a busy day of sightseeing. We were impressed with the professionalism of the web site. We also highly recommend booking the airport pickup. It was well worth the cost after a long flight. Upon being picked up at the airport,the driver phoned the apartment contact to ensure they were there when we arrived. We will use your services again on our next trip to Italy. Rome Apartment Dickens – Fortuny Oct-09 Canada Family Group Michael C. The apartment was perfectly situated for touring all of Rome. It was an easy walk to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and of course, the shopping along the Via del Corso. With no more than 100 meters walk to the Piazza Flaminio, we were able to catch the Rome Metro. Two stops to the west on the A line you at the Vatican, and with a transfer going east at Rome Termini, you are at the Colosseo! Spectacular. We strolled through Navonna and the Jewish Ghetto, trolled the markets and enoteca of Rome and had a brilliant time. Just 50 meters from the apartment, between 8am and noon, there is an excellent market with fresh fish and seafood, a deli, two produce vendors and other foods. If you walk from the apartment towards the Piazza Flaminio, and take the second right headed towards the Tiber, there is an excellent grocery/deli with fresh pasta, bread, condiments, etc. As I am an addicted foodie, we cooked at the apartment four nights out of five, and then dined on the fifth at a Michelin rated restaurant just off the Piazza del Popolo - Il Valentino's HI-RES (rooftop restuarant) at the Hotel Valadier on Via Fontanella. In short, the apartment was outstanding value for money, located perfectly in Rome, and the only way to travel. I will be abandoning hotels for the future and focusing my longer terms stays on apartment rentals. Mike Caldwell

Apartment Balestrari Sep-09 Australia Australia Lindy C. Apartment Balestrari was wonderful, due passi from Campo di Fiori and so close to everything! We walked to San Pietro, the Pantheon, Piazza Venezia, the Colosseo, the Foro Romano, the shops, the Trevi Fountain... really so so central it was absolutely fabulous. The luxury of having an appartment that we could just throw our bags down, undo them for a week was heaven, not to mention be able to cook at home if we chose. We did relax, a little too much as my partner had his backpack stolen from an internet cafe as we had just left it next to our chair, so it does pay to keep your things on your person and your bags on your lap! But we had an incredible time in Rome, loved going back there, just love it, would go back tomorrow if I could!! Even the Police are great! Rolfy was great, she was so personable and kind and helpful, she made us welcome immediately so I sincerely thank her for that. just that we had a great time, it went too fast sadly, but we will most certainly use your services again. We walked for miles from the apartment and the weather did help as it was bright blue skies and warm. The transfer was perfect. lovely to be met at the airport and felt quite famous with name on a big card !!! The location of Apartment Trastevere is excellent being close to the city centre, handy to transport, shops and restaurants and as it is in a quiet backstreet there is very little noise. The apartment itself is in excellent condition, the bathroom has a very good walk in shower with room to move (unlike many we've experienced in Italy). Carla, the owner, was very welcoming and helpful even booking a taxi for our departure and making sure the driver had the correct details for our destination. It would not be unreasonable to say that this apartment added to the enjoyment of our stay and we would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting Rome.

Thankfully the apartment was air conditioned which was an absolute necessity this time of year. The person who met us in front of the apartment was very nice, explained all we needed to know and even recommended a very nice restaurant for us to go at night. The apartment was not very well furnished but was cosy and large. We were 6 (including 4 children) and it worked perfect for our family. I recommend it for any large family with children.Excellent. The car we had ordered picked us up on time and was very large to accomodate our family. Very good. Large air conditioned apartment strategically located. We were litterally 5 minutes from the Spanish steps, 5mn from the Trevi fountain and 5 mn from the Pantheon. We had a fabulous time in Rome and the apartment was wonderful. Hugh T.
Rome Apartment Mura Latine Jul-09 Australia Mixed Group Stefanie J. Very spacious and well maintained apartment in excellent location for the independent-minded traveller. Two bathrooms and three large bedrooms made it an excellent choice for our party of 6. And the lift is a bonus for older travellers, or families with young children, or anyone with an injury or disability. Good local, but traditional shops (ie no supermarket)and really very easy to get around Rome at large as long as you have a decent bus map (at least 3 very useful bus routes pass within 2 blocks - one even right outside). We bought an excellent route-map for only 3euro and confidently navigated our way around using a 4euro 24hr ticket that allows you to hop on and off buses and metro trains all day. If you're a keen walker it's also easy to stroll straight to the Colosseum/Roman Forum and then on into central Rome (then simply catch a bus home if you found you've walked too far). Rosie, the contact person for the apartment, was a treasure! She gave us excellent directions over the phone before we arrived, and was really friendly and full of helpful information when she greeted us there. She also booked our airport transfer for us, which turned out to be very good value once you work out the real cost of using public transport to Fiumicino (hauling luggage across town, dealing with Termini, not to mention the extra time). nitially we though the service a little bit officious (lots of forms, rules and regulations) but compared to other places we stayed, it was so efficient, the apartment so well appointed and that made our time there completely trouble-free, so we can see why it's run this way. It was in a perfect location with great restuarants and shops down below on the street and easy walking distance to most everything. It was loud at night with the bar DIRECTLY below the windows, but with the fan on and ear plugs it wasn't too bad. I would definately stay in this apartment again!

You are are in walking distance of the tourist sites, but minutes from a of plethora of restaurants and bars. However the apartment is so quiet and peaceful - you would never think so! It is really spacious and comfortably decorated. You have a real feel that you live there yourself! You miss not having outside space, but you get enough air through the apartment not to get too hot (and coming from Scotland that's a big plus!). We would highly recommend it. Angela, who met us was so helpful, even though we had kept her waiting for an hour getting the bus over from Termini. The kitchen is lovely to cook in, in true italian style! The terrace was wonderful and along with the perfect location the main reason we would recommend anyone coming to Rome to stay here. Would highly recommend staying in an apartment over a hotel for a real Italian experience. We went with Leon and Jill Kammer's recommendations....Montecarlo and Baffetto for delicious thin crust pizzas, San Crispino for yummy ice cream and Sant'Eustachio for the best gran cappucino were our favourites. Everything to do with our booking was dealt with very efficiently.
Apartment Colonna Jun-09 Canada Family Group L & C Battiston The apartment was in a great location. Steps to the Trevi Fountain and steps to the Pantheon. It was great to escape the noise of the city and retreat to our quiet street. Our host directed us to the nearest supermarket where we purchased food and drink for our stay. A nearby street had several great trattoria with competitive prices. Basic accomodation but great location. We would definately stay there again. Julia was wonderful and helpful, spent time with us upon arrival explaining the neighbourhood.
Rome Apartment Eustacchio Jun-09 Australia Family Group Julie D. A real find in a great location - having two bathrooms was really a bonus. The Pantheon area was perfect. There are 107 steps to the apartment, and with all the eating we did, we did not mind taking the stairs at all (our age range was 18 to 55). The kitchen was small, but fit our needs well. The view from the kitchen windows was very nice and the weather allowed us to keep our windows open. The apartment was also very quiet. There is a small market nearby, which we used daily, as we ate all of our breakfasts in, many lunches, and several dinners - enjoying local produce, meats, and cheeses. The hot water heater was broken on our arrival, and despite the fact that it was a national holiday, a repairman arrived within two hours of our arrival and was very quick and courteous. We had a driver meet us at the airport who was also helpful and gave us a lovely tour on our way to the apartment - we were very tired, and this service was really a plus. We were met at the apartment with the key and maps of Rome. This was a great apartment, with excellent service, and I would use Italy-Accom again, and despite the stairs, would stay in this apartment again.

The location was the truly amazing, near many of the tourist sites, great restaurants and located in one the best shopping streets in Rome. What more could you ask for... More importantly, the apartment was very clean. We have lovely memories of our time in Via Frattina and hope to return again very soon.

Busses are convenient from Piazza Navona or Vittorio Emanuelle. The bars and restaurants nearby are good and the the Piazza is busy day and night. You MUST try the Cafe Pace right next door. There are several shops to buy wine, cheese and food nearby also. We would absolutely recommend this apartment! The Bischoff's, California, USA
Rome Apartment Quirinale Jun-09 Ireland Family Group Carmel M. This was such a great apartment, with a view to our needs. Family of 6-2 Adults, 4 kids ages from 14 to 5. It is so central to all the main sights i cant emphasise enought how great it was, you could walk even with a 5yr old from Colosseum, Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona at night without any complaining!!. You are not smack bang in the middle of all the bustle that you would get on the aforementioed sights etc. Bus stop less than 50metres from front door. Apt very spacious and clean. The only complaint we would have had was that there was no air conditioning or even fans in apartment and it was needed in June!

We hit our head a few time to the rafts but it was just a little inconvenience in this apartment with all the modern facilities (even a small laptop and internet connection) . Nicely located in a safe neighborhood and close to the hearth of Rome The car service to the airport was excellent and fairly priced.

Aside from being spacious and with a view of all the neighborhood activity, it was safe, and well located near the Spanish Steps. We literally walked everywhere from our apartment, day and night. Wonderful Enoteca Antica is within a block with its fabulous wine list, a salumneria, and supermercato. Don Chiote(?) within a block was excellent for coffee and a cornetta with the locals. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Dear Jill, Thanks for your patience in guiding us through concerns about the deposit, etc. Our driver from the airport, Alessandro (?) was fabulous, not only friendly and able to speak English, as he drove past ancient or historical sites he explained what we are seeing. It was extremely helpful that he could coordinate with the owner after the long flight from the U.S. I would not hesitate to contact you for accommodations when we return to Italy and I would be happy to provide any referrals that may be helpful.
